Daylight Can Help Treat Sleeping Problems

It might sound strange but daylight is another natural sleep aid treatment that is vital for a good sleep at night. When it’s dark, our brains are hard wired to go to sleep and wake on light. Not enough daylight will deprogram our so-called biological clock that once our natural rhythm has been upset, the brain will not receive the sleep signal when we want to go to sleep.

So don’t stay indoors all day long. Even if you are killing long hours in work try to take a break and let the sunshine hit your body for a while. If your place has short days in winter, set up a bright light at home and sit under it for at least half an hour to keep that biological clock tickling.

This is a very good reason why watching TV before going to bed is not recommended. Though the program is dull, the bright flickering light that comes from the TV screen will be working enough against your natural sleep patterns.
