Causes of Hot Flash
The neck and face feel quite hot and there may be heart palpitations, headache, sweating, dizziness and anxiety. The face flushed which makes it red. If you have this then there's no mistake that you have a hot flash.
Hot flash may last from seconds to an hour. Severity of symptoms may range from mild to severe. Most of the women who experience menopause suffer hot flash. Some men on the controversial Andropause, men on hormone therapy for prostate problems, person with hyperthyroidism, low blood sugar, low blood pressure and men on hormone restriction therapy for prostate problems are also prone to hot flashes. The mechanism of hot flashes is simple. The blood vessels on the neck and head enlarge and allow more blood than normal to pass. This gives the hot feeling and causes other symptoms. But it is still unknown for the cause for the dilating of the blood vessels.
